How the fundamentalist movement rise? And how did the nationalist movement decline? Knowing that there is no thought in the mind of the fundamentalist movement, nor is there thought in the mind of the nationalist movement, What is meant by the phrase “lack of thought” is the lack of “ideology” in both, as ideology is the science of ideas, which studies the extent of the correctness or error of the thought that a person carries, and based on it builds theories and hypotheses that are consistent with developing his life for the better, Therefore, national or sectarian constants do not reconcile with ideological science, as constants are not ideological, because they do not subject themselves to doubt as to whether they are wrong or correct, They are always correct in the view of those who carry them from the national and sectarian racists.
The familiar and common usage of the term “religious thought” and the term “national thought” is a metaphorical usage, The former is based on the supernatural myths transmitted by Gabriel, and the latter on the static myths that are unchanging or capable of development, such as the fixed demographic characteristic, which is based on past heritage features such as the unity of language and history and the similarity of customs and other national features, Neither the supernatural nor the static needs human thought, because God thought and sent his thoughts with Gabriel to the prophet, nor does the static and immobile need any thoughtm, So why should we think about a common language and a common history and other ready-made characteristics? In both cases, man transcends reality with the word “thought” of a fundamentalist sectarian or nationalist nature, and uses the word to indicate what it does not indicate.
It is not surprising that the fundamentalist religious movement has risen on the ruins of the nationalist movement, which in turn only succeeded by rising on the ruins of the religious movement, which failed to market the process of liberation from colonialism, while the nationalist movement succeeded in this relatively!!! It is expected that a new movement will rise again, perhaps the nationalist movement again, on the ruins of the religious movement that has been rising for some decades, after the confirmed failure of this religious movement to deal with the problems and issues of the peoples, a temporary and relative success for one movement on the ruins of the failure of the other! And thus the rotation occurs in the flawed cycle, they all failed to provide a critical review of the conditions of the region between the Gulf and the ocean, they all failed to innovate a new productive thought, and they only succeeded in one thing, which is to thwart social, economic and political development, each in its role, and roles usually last for decades!
Saddam Hussein joined with Hafez al-Assad in purging the Syrian and Iraqi atmosphere of all political culturem They took possession of the homelands and everything in them of people, trees, stones and livestock, and proceeded to pass them on to their children as lawful and pure property, to their children and their children’s children after them, They struck at the democratic forces and obliterated them completely, and now their supporters from the nationalist political Salafism are crying over the lack of an understanding and experienced political successor, Others are crying over the lack of an opposition that can save the country, Where can this opposition sprout and grow in entities that have been politically desertified? And where will the opposition come from with enough experience to lead the country? After all the oppositionists spent their lives in prison, some of them died, and some were physically and psychologically disfigured.
They all killed and dragged those who disagreed with them, and erected statues for themselves on the hills and mountains, except for Abdel Nasser, They all robbed the country’s financial resources and piled up billions in foreign banks, except for Nasser…maybe because his death was not expected, They all drummed and trumpeted for unity, but what they did was nothing but consecrate fragmentation and secession, The Syrian military achieved the merger union with Egypt, and the Unity, Freedom and Socialism Party broke the union with Egypt, then in 1970 it turned against the secessionists to practice a more secessionist policy, Then came the turn of the Iraqi-Syrian secession, Wars broke out between the pioneers of unity, freedom and socialism, and each side sent terrorism and explosives to the other, As for talking about freedom and socialism, there is absolutely no need for it, and even the blind can confirm that there is no freedom or socialism in the countries of the unionist socialists.
They all practiced the rhetoric of nationalist slogans and the clownish speeches that lasted for hours, They fought the religious movements on the surface, not because they were far from the religious approach, but because of their fear of the religious movement licking the gains of power, In the year that Abdel Nasser executed Sayyid Qutb, Nasser included in the Egyptian constitution all the demands of the Muslim Brotherhood, and Assad did nothing else, The attack on some components of the fundamentalist movement coincided with the fulfillment of the desires of the Brotherhood component, such as the establishment of Quran memorization schools and the issuance of a personal status law that was cut and tailored to the religious approach, all of this under the shadow of a constitution that punishes membership in the Muslim Brotherhood by hanging until death.
At no point did the citizen feel any discrepancy between the authority that calls itself secular and civil and the religious fundamentalist movement in internal and external affairs, Externally, there was no example uglier than the Syrian example, where the authority had no friend left except the Iranian-Iraqi mullah, the Lebanese imam and the Yemeni Houthi, They are all friends and allies of the secular Syrian, who is only separated from them by a tie! As for the former friend Hamas, it had to leave and it did, because it is not in the logic of sectarianism to have a Sunni in a Shiite den.
One of the worst examples of this religious-nationalist consensus, which has been used to destroy the country in turn, was the way the “secular” authorities justified their collusion with the religious component, The authorities supported religious television programs, religious radio programs, and all other propaganda facilities for some clerics, saying that they wanted to explain the true religion to prevent the spread of incorrect religiosity, Is there a true religion and an incorrect religion?? What is true and what is incorrect is relative, For 14 centuries, the Sunni group has considered its Shiite competitor as astray, and the Shiite considers the Sunni as astray, i.e. incorrect!
The oppressive nationalist authority was in harmony with the religious movements, which believe in absolutes. Since the religious movement had its god, the nationalist movement had to create a god for itself. Inventing gods was an easy matter, and we found it in its clearest form in the slogan “God… Syria… Bashar… and that’s it.” In the slogan there was a comparison between Bashar’s position in Syria and God’s position in heaven, Bashar was also a god!
The apparent hostility between the nationalist and religious currents was unable to camouflage the divine religious structure of the nationalist approach, The hostility to Al-Arour or his ilk, who wanted to steal power, was met with agreement with Al-Bouti, Al-Hassoun and Abdul Sattar Al-Sayyid, who accepted to share power, hand in hand in order to destroy the country alternately, now the nationalist and tomorrow the fundamentalist, and thus the circle turns and the noose tightens around the homeland, which lost consciousness before dying finally and giving you its life.
Most classes of the people, especially the silent grey classes, were fed up with these shifts and bouts of sabotage, but they had no power or strength, because they did not have the money and the Wahhabi rifle, nor did they have the money and rifle of the mullahs, and only the god knew how the affairs of the earth, on whose land the battles were taking place, would develop, It might be beneficial for the silent majority that the fighting roosters become exhausted before the homeland bleeds completely. Unfortunately, all the roosters thought that they could devour the entire cake by themselves, which distanced the homelands from any solution to the problems and brought the homelands closer to dissolution!
