What applies to the flat earth applies to the rest of life’s aspects of democracy and equality, then rights and duties, the division of society into believers and infidels, the dedication to privacy and thus isolation, and as a result, securing fertile ground for the flourishing of sectarianism and isolationism, the unleashing of extremism and thus violence and terrorism.
