Sectarianism within the sect

So-called sectarian purity was one of the features of the political practices of Arab societies and governments, Sectarian purity was and still is a verbal purity whose goal is to cover up the conflictual practices that seep into every corner of society to the point of saturation, The more ferocious the sectarianism becomes, the thicker the necessary deceptive verbal cover becomes in order to perpetuate the illusion of non-sectarianism.

Control over what is said and written has slipped from the hands of the sectarians after the birth of social media platforms, but hypocrisy and fabrication regarding sectarianism continues, to the point that the pretense of it has become incurable, There are still those who falsify, conceal, cover up, obfuscate, and refuse to acknowledge reality, The societies of this region are not as loving as they claim, nor are they as unified as they say, What dominates and directs them is nothing but sectarian prejudices, These are societies afflicted with a culture born with the invasions and bloody disputes between tribes for the sake of dominance and the spoils of war,The first to slaughter based on identity is the first to claim sectarian purity! 

The absence of research, analysis, investigation, candor, clarification, and criticism, coupled with the practice of concealment, fabrication, falsification, and denial of reality, was like a ticking time bomb, The date of its explosion was unknown, but it exploded, destroying and eliminating the projects of countries and societies that had the potential for development and success, which sectarianism turned into regression and failure,The claim of sectarian purity led to inaction in combating it, and there are many reasons for this inaction, including rent-seeking, then the culture of delusion and unreality, and the culture of numbing and discouraging blindness, such as the culture of the best nation, which contributed to the development of these nations into the worst nations, The examples of this self-deception and lying are too numerous to count.

 Sectarianism is inherently sectarian, and all sectarianism is corruption, or a breeding ground for corruption, One cannot be liberated from sectarianism except by liberating oneself from sectarianism, that is, by abolishing sectarianism, Abolishing sectarianism does not mean abolishing religion or the freedom to belong to a religion, but rather abolishing politics within religion, This is because the concept of sectarianism implies the infiltration of religion into politics, Religious affiliation develops into the formation of a sect or sects when a group belonging to a particular doctrine manages to give this group a “project” or mission unrelated to religion, such as a political project, This is the case with the concept of dominance, which sought to transform a religious majority into a political majority—that is, a religious majority group with a political project cloaked in hypocrisy and pretense, such as the hypocrisy and pretense of tolerance, which contradicts the very essence of the sect and its sectarian goals, The sect is not tolerant as it claims, Sectarianism appropriates the individual immediately after birth by assigning them an orientation or affiliation, A doctrine that he may not want when he is able to recognize it after reaching the stage of being able to recognize it, Here it can be said that the sect is an authoritarian system in its essence, As soon as a person is born, he is registered in the category of his father’s sect, Thus, the sect confiscates the individual and comes between him and his individuality and conscience, This individual must act throughout his life as the sect dictates to him, and if he dissents or rebels, he is considered an apostate, And what do you know of the rulings on apostasy and the rulings on objecting to the confiscation of the mind and conscience! Here the sect stands in wait for that person whom it has usurped, Whoever changes his religion, kill him!!!! And how can this “tolerance” be reconciled with the necessity of killing someone who has voluntarily chosen another religious or non-religious affiliation for himself?   

  Sectarianism is a fanaticism that embraces much racism and exclusion, Sectarianism turns religion into a moral farce that wants to force the individual to act according to what the sect group dictates to him, not according to his conscience,Morality is for the individual to think and act based on his conscience, In the sect, the individual gives up his conscience to hand it over to the sect, which forces him to adopt its morals, that is, to adopt the culture of sectarian conflict.

How can a sectarian group live with others in peace, cooperation, and the solidarity necessary to establish a state society, when it considers itself the owner of the absolute truth, which does not exist in pluralism, that is, it does not exist in life, which is pluralistic by nature? Pluralism knows only relativity, Claiming ownership of the absolute truth eliminates the possibility of dialogue, agreement, and coexistence, Whoever considers himself to be absolutely right and considers others to be absolutely wrong does not engage in dialogue or interaction, but rather fights, kills, and excludes, He does not build, but rather destroys, and thus he turns into a project of genocide and destruction, And how many genocides have been practiced within the framework of sectarian absolutism, from Banu Qurayza to the Mu’tazila to the apostasy to the genocide of the Armenians and others? 

  Religious freedom is not the freedom of sects, but the freedom of the individual, Achieving the freedom of the individual includes liberating him from the sectarianism of his sect, which not only represents a danger to the individual, but also a danger to the concept of religion, which is distorted by sectarianism, The sect and sectarianism represent a danger to the consciousness of its followers, as this kind of situation qualifies for the establishment of systems of tyranny and sectarian leaderships, which move into politics to become a political dictatorship, with all the exploitation and injustice that religious political dictatorships entail.

The mystical doctrines or sects have been formed     with characteristics that distinguish them from one another, Among these characteristics is the refusal to compromise on any particularity, no matter what it is, Therefore, conferences for rapprochement between doctrines and other such illusions of fabricated tolerance are nothing but ugly farces, Whoever lulls me with his tolerance considers me guilty and wrong, and in his excessive humanity he forgives me… a deception and a serious accusation!
