Robespierre claimed that revolution is nothing but a transition from a kingdom of crime to a kingdom of justice, Does this apply to those who call themselves revolutionaries in this region? And can ISIS and their ilk, the Muslim Brotherhood in general, establish a kingdom of justice, progress, advancement, and respect for humanity? As Nietsche said centuries ago about fundamentalism, it is saturated with everything that is criminal and backward. In his view, all fundamentalism leads to barbarism. Events have proven the validity of what Nietzsche and Robespierre said hundreds of years ago.
The fundamentalism of ISIS, under the black banners and under different names, has contributed to proving the validity of Huntington’s theory about the clash of civilizations, or what Gilbert Achcar calls the clash of fundamentalisms, In our opinion, what Gilbert Achcar wrote about fundamentalisms, which exist everywhere, even in the West, is more accurate, The difference between Western fundamentalisms and the fundamentalism of the Muslim Brotherhood of ISIS is that the West wanted there to be a certain kind of world, while the fundamentalism of the Muslim Brotherhood of ISIS wanted there to be no world at all, The existence of the earthly world contradicts their nihilistic view of all life. In their view, life is for a very small part that is earthly and mortal, but for the most part, or even all of it, it is heavenly, eternal, and everlasting, There is no comparison between the mortal part and the totality that is eternal, The basis is heavenly, not earthly.
The heavenly is the most important in the eyes of religious-political fundamentalism, as it is of a higher quality than the earthly, as explained by religious texts in the description of Paradise, its houris, its youths, its wines, its rivers of honey, and the daily renewal of the virginity of its houris,All of this was the subject of care, promotion, and embrace by religious-political fundamentalism, which, in partnership with the Arabists, brought all the countries of the region to the brink of extinction, All these backward-looking people established God’s states, God’s governments, and God’s legitimacy imported from heaven and accompanied by God’s curse, who failed them to the extent of their ability to belong to world history, meaning that he placed them outside of history by dressing them in the garb of violence, killing, and bloodshed, Religious fundamentalism did not master the arts of belonging to human history compared to its mastery of belonging to the jungle, where the killer and the killed were equal in terms of the chances of reaching Paradise. Therefore, there was insistence and eagerness to annihilate the self and annihilate others to hasten the arrival to eternity in the heavenly gardens, which are managed by the Almighty Creator!
The Brotherhood wanted to control people from the chair, which in this era operates “electrically” and therefore kills whoever sits on it! Thus, the passion for power and sitting on it became nihilistic, This was the fate of the Muslim Brotherhood after they sat on some chairs, for example in Egypt. We used to think that the Brotherhood’s sitting on the chair meant their eternal stay, Now we believe that their coming is no longer a catastrophic matter, because their departure will follow their arrival more quickly than expected, There are no countries in the world that can remain in power with 100% religious distinctiveness, The systems of countries have become secularized and globalized and have lost many of their distinctiveness, Countries and their systems now live on commonalities with others in the global environment, The more commonalities there are that allow for the establishment of common relations, the higher the standard of living of the peoples and thus the possibility of the survival of any system, As for the Muslim Brotherhood, there are no commonalities with most countries and societies of the world, so their collapse has become inevitable,How will the Afghan Taliban regime continue when, until now, not a single country in the world has recognized it except Pakistan? Therefore, its fall has become inevitable, Its isolation practically means its fall.
Not all religiously influenced entities are exact copies of Afghanistan, There are slightly milder versions, such as Morsi’s religious state in Egypt and Ghannouchi’s state in Tunisia, and even in Morocco when a party ruled that was an exact copy of the rule of Caliph Erdogan, not to mention Saudi Arabia before Mohammed bin Salman took over the duties of the rule, All those quasi-states were political failures because they did not provide their people with freedom and equality and did not achieve democratic transition, and economically they spread poverty and corruption.
Perhaps oil alleviated the poverty of some, but it did not alleviate the corruption. Oil secured modernization and denied modernity. Most of these countries sent their citizens to their graves before they died organically. Exclusion, racism, and takfir are death and killing. Takbir is not the path to life, as evidenced by the fact that only those who chant takbir die of hunger in this era. Takbir was one of the most important verbal manifestations of political sectarianism, which combined the contradiction of changing politics with rigid religion.
There is much ambiguity and obscurity surrounding political ideology, Despite this ambiguity, some features, functions, or practices of this concept can be identified. Among these manifestations is the paramount importance placed on seizing power by any means, whether through elections, military rebellions, or armed confrontations,Reaching power is the first and last goal, In their view, the path to power is a one-way street; whoever ascends does not descend. The first task of the ascendant is to eliminate the method by which they ascended, such as elections and democracy, Hamas ascended to power in 2006-2007 through elections, which were not meant to be repeated and have not been repeated throughout that period from 2007 until now, as the ideology sees elections as nothing but sterility and heresy!
The ruler who rules in the name of God does not derive his legitimacy from the ballot boxes, but from heaven, These people do not feel any contradiction in abolishing the means by which they ascended to the seat of power, They believe in the concept of “empowerment.” Every means that enables them to ascend is legitimate, even democracy, which they reject in principle. It is a tool to reach power and not a tool for ruling, for the rule belongs to God and not to democracy.
They have their own perceptions of the modern lifestyle, which suffer from a lack of governmental imagination and an understanding of the nature of the state, in addition to considering the past valid for the present regardless of the quality of this past, which is protected by the sacred and by a concept beyond doubt, They read history theologically, which makes any dialogue with them almost impossible, There is no benefit in theological dialogue based on sacred religious backgrounds that do not change or develop, Nietsche was right when he said that returning to the origins leads to barbarism everywhere!
