The problem of exclusion, its sources and forms

   There are peoples afflicted with the disease of social exclusion, which establishes practices that lead to the decline of a category of a human group, Consequently, this category may disappear or manage to survive in different ways, Decline and disappearance are numerical values, As for christian, their percentage in Syria in 1970 was 15%, and before that in 1920 it was 30%, and 1400 years ago it was 80%, Then the percentage turned into 3% in 2015,This development is scientifically called decline, When the percentage reaches approximately 0%, as is expected in the coming years, we must talk about disappearance, Decline or disappearance does not fall from the sky, There are human factors that make decline or disappearance a historical inevitability.

 Social exclusion is primarily linked to the human environment in which the exclusionary and the exclusionary exist, One characteristic of this environment is its susceptibility to several influences, including the concept of loyalty and disavowal, which is entrenched in life, whether within a governing entity or internationally (i.e., outside of it), The growth of the exclusionary environment—we insist on using the term “entity” because the entities in this region have not yet transformed into states, for within a state there is no exclusion!—and the presence of exclusion in a state transforms it into a pre-state condition, Loyalty and disavowal are particularly almost innate; the believer who is obligated to kill the infidel is a believer by birth, and the infidel whom the believer is obligated to kill is an infidel by birth, Attitudes toward what is called infidelity vary between those who accept and coexist with it, those who accept it reluctantly, or those who reject it to the point of killing the infidel…! According to the verse that some people hold sacred, which mandates killing the infidel wherever the believers find him, we see that the obligation to kill the infidel wherever he is found is one of the most hateful forms of human interaction with each other, and it represents a behavior lower than the behavior of predatory beasts.

 Despite the fact that the order to kill the infidel is barbaric and savage, we see it being openly proclaimed by Friday sermon preachers as if it were a call to practice virtue… May God scatter them! O God, grant us victory over them. O God, seize them with the might of the All-Powerful… etc, The intended meaning here is those christian and others, In addition to the explicit call to kill the christian and others , there are less barbaric punitive practices than killing the infidel, such as social isolation, which is social execution, or even banishing him to distant areas. Isolation takes additional forms, including not participating in the infidel’s holidays, i.e., not congratulating him, for example, There are a large number of fatwas from the esteemed scholars that forbid a believer from congratulating christian neighbor on his holidays, They even obligate the believer to burn the Christmas tree or curse Christmas, as the demonstrators among the muslim  did in the city of Homs and other cities outside Homs and even outside Syria,The latest to forbid congratulations was the Grand Mufti of Iraq,Before him, the prohibition was issued by Al-Azhar scholars and even by Qaradawi, the Al-Azhar teacher, who was not the first to issue such fatwas and will not be the last, The evils of Qaradawi have continued with figures like Abdullah Rushdi, Al-Huwayni, Hassan, and others. .

The concept of loyalty and disavowal does not represent all the causes of the disease of sectarian social exclusion. Loyalty and disavowal is one of the causes of this disease, In addition to that, there is the concept of the best nation, which is reflected in the psyche of the believer, and pushes him to feel that he is distinguished by his superiority over those whom he considers polytheists, The best nation is placed on top! And whoever does not belong to the best nation is classified in degrees lower than the classification of the creatures of the best nation, Then there are tributaries to the problem of the best nation, such as the best religion, for the religion of God is the upright religion, meaning that other religions are invalid because they are not from the upright religion of Muhammad.

There are other factors that qualify the mentality of some to be influenced by the culture and concepts of rejection, Rejection is directed at the other, no matter how different the other may be, The different one is placed, according to the concept of monotheism, outside the straight line, like the atheist, for example, Even some of the believing groups are considered by other groups to be infidels, Rejecting the other is an expression of fabricated hostility without objective reasons, Despite that, it was the main cause of most of the wars of the last fourteen centuries between believers.   

Exclusion is born from the womb of monotheism, which is incompatible with pluralism, Where monotheism dominates, exclusion dominates the behavior of groups, Because of the necessity of monotheism, not a single christian person  remained in the Arabian Peninsula, There were prophetic orders to make the Peninsula free of infidels,Even in the present era, the disaster of monotheism has not changed, Therefore, there were great problems with the Kurds, the Amazigh, and others who were different, Thus, their Arabization and Islamization, even by war, was necessary.

 There is no pluralism under monotheism, which was originally reserved for heaven, but it fell to earth,Monotheism’s opposition to pluralism diminishes the possibility of coexistence and inflates the possibility of joint fighting, Progress is stunted because pluralism means creativity and relativity,There is no progress without creativity and under absolutism, Failure, backwardness, and fragmentation were the result of imposing religious, cultural, and national homogeneity on others, The greatest evil was the conquests, which included forcibly imposing the spirit of homogeneity, like communism, which saw the necessity of imposing cultural-political homogeneity on the world, so its fate was collapse, The Ottoman Caliphate also wanted that, so the extermination of the Armenians, Assyrians, and other peoples was necessary, and thus the Sultanate collapsed on the concept of Ottomanism, The fall of Arabism is no different from the fall of the Ottoman Committee of Union and Progress.

Exclusion is closely related to legislation that has turned groups of people into second-class citizens, for example by specifying the religion of the head of state and even the religion of the state, then the infiltration of Sharia into the civil constitution, then the promotion of a kind of Karbala-style jihadist life under Hussein and Yazid and the necessity of inhaling the dust of Karbala and other places, fighting for 1440 years, Where is the interest of others in living on a battlefield in which they have no stake? That was one of the motives for the emigration of Christians to get away from barbarism, its wars and violence.

The essence of the instinct to reject the different other, based on the culture of monotheism, has always been the concern for what is called the “homogeneity” of the nation, which must be of one race, gender, and religion. The goal and practice of forced homogeneity, especially religiously, was manifested in the concern for Islamizing the other, even if the Islamization was formal, such as uttering the two testimonies of faith, based on the fabricated belief of the mujahideen of homogeneity that formal verbal affiliation supports the cohesion of the social fabric, as happened with affiliation to the Baath Party. In the “open and inflated” Baath Party, even uttering the slogan of unity, freedom, socialism was not necessary; what was necessary was only the practice of corruption!

   Forced homogenization destroys social cohesion and breeds intolerance, leading to conflict and fighting, and ultimately to the annihilation of the weaker, different groups, Consider, for example, the treatment of the Assyrians by Arabs, and the number of Assyrians themselves, who thousands of years ago represented the peoples who lived in the Levant, particularly Syria and Iraq, Consider the number of Jews in the past; there are currently 150 Jews in Syria and 7 in Bahrain, Consider the situation of the Kurds and the attempts to Arabize them in a state that has been so zealous in its Arabization—the Syrian Arab Republic, the Syrian Arab Army, the Arab Ba’ath Party, and so on, Think about the disappearance of what are called Christians in Iraq and Syria, and their inevitable disappearance in Egypt,Consider the situation of the Amazigh, similar to that of the Kurds! The Arabs who believed in their Arab identity were nothing more than a carbon copy of the Ottomans and their project of Ottomanizing others, which led to the birth of intractable problems that insisted on further imposing homogenization, thus deepening the problem—a cure with the very medicine that caused the disease.

 Consequently, there is no difference between the mechanisms of the fall of the Arabs and their Arab identity and the mechanisms of the fall of the Ottoman Sultanate,The new fall of the Arabs a hundred years after the First World War is the same as the expected fall of Türkiye a hundred years after the resounding fall in the First World War.
