We will not pay attention to what Mr. “Minister” Abdul Sattar Al-Sayed said, but we will commend the initiative of the Syrian National Party in its attempt to break through the religious barrier, and to seek to establish a system of civil marriage between those who love each other with their absolute will and without the bazaar of buying and selling, slavery, dowry, enticement, intimidation, virginity culture, and so on…
Religious figures, including Abdul Sattar Al-Sayed, profit from marriage and divorce, and from practicing deception and fabrication, such as promoting the idea that the religious marriage contract, which was organized and legislated by God, is always right and never makes mistakes, while civil marriage is a contract organized by a human being who makes mistakes and rarely makes mistakes, Human beings make mistakes, but not everything they do is wrong.
The contract falsely attributed to the Creator and His law is wrong, because it is fabricated and forged and attributed to a source other than its own, Reality shows a relative failure of the legal contract in regulating the establishment of a family, and a relative success of the contract that is organized by man, If this were not the case, the overwhelming majority of humanity would not have organized the matter of marriage civilly at the hands of man.
Is civil marriage, practiced by the vast majority of humanity, always wrong and never right? And is religious marriage infallible? Reality proves that many mistakes occur in religious marriage under the supervision and blessing of the Creator, and this is what we observe in our daily lives, We also observe the proliferation of problems caused by religious marriage, which requires a dowry, for example, especially because of the dowry itself, and because of the dangers of polygamy, which represents a major source of problems, not a prevention or solution to them. The dowry is accused of turning marriage into a marketplace of buying and selling, turning women into objects to be bought and sold for pleasure , O Chosen One, We have made lawful for you your wives to whom you have given their dowries…!
Civil marriage is based on personal choice, while dowry-based marriage and its associated practices are marغare salvery and not marriage, It is coercion and barbarity; it is a transaction brokered by family and relatives, Consequently, its practice is considered a form of legalized slavery, devoid of love or personal choice, What is the bond between the man and woman in Misyar and Mut’ah marriages are salvery! And for whom is this pleasure? This relationship perfectly embodies the culture of brothels, Out of respect for marriage and the family, Mut’ah, Misyar, and approximately 16 similar forms should not be called marriage, but rather slavery!
Civil marriage is a marriage of acceptance, impulse, and consent, It does not concern itself with the religion of the bride and groom and rejects polygamy, As such, it is considered by the clergy to be deficient and contrary to what the Creator has permitted regarding multiple relationships, Polygamy is a blessing from the Creator, who invented it as a permissible solution to social problems such as spinsterhood and even sexual problems, So what will become of this man, raging like a mule or a bull, when his wife is menstruating? How will he manage and wait three days, God forbid! Therefore, he must acquire a second wife as a backup for marriage, And where is the strangeness in this matter?
The muslim Brotherhood claims that civil marriage is nothing but a ticking time bomb, and an affront to the dignity of believers and sacred texts, They say that legitimate marriage with a marriage contract is a provision from the Lord of mankind for the sake of mankind, and that Sharia law has not permitted anything except for the benefit of mankind,Whoever wants to marry civilly is replacing the law of the Lord of mankind with the law of mankind, which allows marriage in front of an official who may not even be a believer!!!! And what is the problem with the official not being a believer, when the bride or groom is a believer or not?
One of the biggest fallacies practiced by the Brotherhood is the fallacy that civil marriage does not guarantee the legal rights of heirs and the wife, Does the Sharia’s organization of inheritance and succession include anything of the sort? Is the difference between the inheritance of a male and the inheritance of a female a right? Is it right for a divorced woman to leave the marital home empty-handed and hungry after she worked in the home for a lifetime? Does housework have no value for someone who does not work outside the home? Housework is more important and harder than working in a profession outside the home, Despite this, the divorced woman leaves empty-handed, and everything goes to the male, This is divine right! Civil law is the opposite of that, It is not characterized by being rigid, but rather by being variable and developing according to need and according to the development of the concept of right formulated by women and men, Therefore, it will be fair to women, men, and their children, i.e., to the family in general.
They say that civil marriage is “blasphemy” that the Creator and those He chose do not want, Is it the duty of humans to obey the will of the Creator and those He chose? Man obeys his mind, his will, and his interest, The virtuous man is amazed at the strangeness of the will of Heaven regarding temporary marriage, pleasure marriage, marriage with the intention of divorce, and about 16 other types of inferior and degrading marriage, When this represents the reality of the will of the Creator, disbelief in it becomes obligatory.
The marriage called “national” in reference to the Syrian National Party is nothing but the beginning of the civil marriage project and its constitutionalization,It is called “national” now because of its spread among members of the Syrian National Party, When it is generalized and its spread expands, it will no longer be national, but will turn into a civil marriage, The Syrian National step was pioneering and courageous and deserves encouragement and support, and we hope for its success and spread.
The activities of the Syrian Social National Party in this regard are not limited to this matter, Several years ago, there was a draft law that called for the approval of civil marriage in Syria on an optional basis, meaning that whoever wants a civil marriage can have it, and whoever wants a religious marriage can have it This draft was presented through social media to survey the opinion of the Syrian street, and 63% of those who participated in the survey voted in favor of the draft, It would be good if we posed this question again to the readers!
