Sectarianism, immigration and asylum
Some believe that the burning and destruction of Christmas tree in many Syrian cities, and even in a German city, in addition to the city of Jenin in the West Bank and in other areas such as Egypt, to name a few, represents a problem for a group belonging to a certain religion, We do not see this burning of the tree as a fundamental problem for the followers of the religion of the burned tree, but rather for the religion that burns symbolic trees and its followers, Burning a tree or a tree branch in itself does not raise the status of the religion of those who burned the tree, nor does it bring down the religion of those whose tree was burned. Rather, it contributes, along with many other more important factors, to the downfall of individuals or human groups into the trap of barbarism, and what barbarism leads to in terms of the downfall of the human being.
One of the manifestations of the fall of humanity is the inability to practice coexistence, which leads to the displacement of a group of people, declaring through this displacement their inability to live alongside another group, In order not to remain in metaphorical and indirect speech, we say, for example, that for reasons similar to what is expressed by burning the tree, only a quarter of a million Christians remain in Iraq out of several million, and only a similar number remain in Syria, i.e., about a quarter of a million, and in Palestine only a few thousand remain. As for Egypt, more than a quarter or a third of the Copts have emigrated, and in Turkey only a very small number remain after the Armenian massacres and after the massacres of the Pontic peoples, i.e., the Ottomans of Greek origin. In a few years, i.e., before 2030, Syria and Iraq will be completely devoid of Christians.
The phenomenon of displacement or migration of some segments of society has no civilizational significance, The social dysfunction that causes such development is a mechanism called “rejection.” Rejection is not a solution to any problem and represents a continuous problem in this region, which will lead to the shrinking and even extinction of one group after another due to the inability to overcome difference and because of dealing with it by means of “amputation” instead of benefiting from it in creation and innovation. Difference and diversity are the maker of progress and human enrichment. Rejecting a group in a society by any means or form is nothing but an indication of the decay and weakness of the rejecting group, not the rejected group!
Whoever causes the extinction of a part of a society will themselves be extinct, Therefore, whoever causes this extinction should not rejoice, because their turn will come, and the consequences of the ostracism that leads to the extinction of a particular group vary between bad and good, The migration of Christians from some Middle Eastern countries was not as dramatic and bad, because without exception they found other homelands, where they live as citizens, bothered only by some longing for the place of their birth and childhood, None of them sought refuge like millions of Syrians who sought refuge in Europe, meaning that they work and live by the sweat of their brow, while most Syrian refugees live on social assistance, Now the situation of refugees has developed dramatically, as the German authorities and other European authorities will now deport them. That is, 1.3 million Syrians will be deported, according to what the German Chancellor stated, The question of how these people will live in Syria remains unanswered, Who will pay them monthly salaries, and who will provide them with housing, food, and medicine? Certainly, those Syrians who destroyed the Christmas tree in Germany will be deported.
Why are Syrians being deported from Germany? The German government says it’s because their crime rate is ten times higher than other nationalities, so they’ve become undesirable, In addition to the high crime rates, they’ve violated German laws, such as demonstrating and demanding the implementation of Sharia law (they wrote “Islam is the solution” on banners). Demanding the abolition of the German constitution and its replacement with Sharia is considered a major crime, For example, they organized groups to enforce morality in Cologne, which led to their arrest 15 minutes after they began their activities by insulting scantily clad women, Where did these people get these ideas about Sharia and the concept of enjoining good and forbidding evil in Germany?
These people brought the idea of Sharia and enjoining good and forbidding evil from the texts of the Book, from the books of Hadith and biography, from the fatwas of Ibn Taymiyyah and others, and from the entirety of what came from the religion inciting violence, killing, exclusion and terrorism, from the memorization schools and what the worshippers hear in Friday prayers and other fatwas that order the killing of the infidel and the stoning of the adulteress and so on, That is, all these religious factors had a great influence on the decision to expel them from Europe, which received them with the utmost welcome, love and understanding, However, they did not meet the Europeans with similar positives such as abandoning religious dealings in society and in daily life, for example in schools, The interference of religion in the state ended in Europe more than 500 years ago and religion was separated from the state. In contrast, many refugees wanted to revive the Islamic religion in Europe, which led, in addition to other factors, to the decision to deport them.
There is no comparison between the deportation of refugees from Europe and the migration of Christians from Syria, Iraq, and others to the West in general, and especially to Europe, Christians are not refugees in Syria, Iraq, Egypt, and elsewhere, nor did they seek to monopolize power in the country, nor did their crimes reach ten times the crimes of others, and the lighting of their tree did not burn down the country and the temples, Therefore, it can be said that the migration of a large part of the Syrian, Iraqi, and Egyptian Christians is different in terms of mechanism and causes from the expulsion of refugees from Europe and outside Europe, The Christians migrated for sectarian reasons, knowing that they do not constitute a sect, According to Adonis and others, a “sect” must have a political goal carried by a group of people belonging to a particular religion or doctrine, The Christians did not have a political goal, meaning that in Syria there was Christianity, and there were Christians distributed across different political orientations, and they do not have what is called religious geography like the Alawites and Druze. Therefore, there is no Christian “sect,” but there is only Christianity.
Generally, the sectarian rejects the non-sectarian, because the non-sectarian cannot live with the sectarian, Therefore, Christians have been “rejected” by various means, some trivial, such as burning the tree and cursing Christmas by demonstrators, and some worse, such as bombing churches, and some catastrophic, such as some constitutional articles that abolish equality, Christians do not have a sectarian affiliation, so sectarian groups consider them a surplus of people who are unnecessary,In order for some to have influence and weight, they must be sectarian and participate in the sectarian game, Sectarianism has dragged the country, as it has dragged other countries, into a deadly existential crisis, Therefore, there is no need for sectarianism and its groups, and in order for any group to develop for the better, it must distance itself from sectarianism!
