Extremism and Terrorism

        Terrorism is one thing, and extremism is another, This is despite the reality that confirms the presence of extremism as an intellectual background in most cases of terrorism, Therefore, it can be said that the causes of extremism and terrorism are almost the same.

The causes of extremism and terrorism vary from one region to another and from one people to another, These lines are primarily concerned with the Arab region.

So-called extremism is linked to intellectual closure and fanaticism, and the inability of an individual or group to accept other thought, They are unable even to ignore the other, let alone tolerate it, Their very existence represents a danger to the individual and the group, closed off to their beliefs, rejecting differences that contradict the principle of monotheism, and subject to concepts such as loyalty and disavowal, followed by dogmatism and absolutism, accompanied by a sense of superiority, such as “the best nation!” “The best nation is always right!”, and the validity of their positions is beyond debate.

Doctrinal rigidity and mental closure lead to fanaticism and rejection of other, Belief is absolutely and eternally true and correct, valid for all times and places, It is sacred and may not be touched by criticism or denial, Belief is the source of values, constitutions, laws, individual and collective behaviors, and even the source of scientific knowledge (the miracles of Zaghloul El-Naggar), Anyone who deviates from these beliefs is condemned and subject to the intimidation of the heavenly hell and the earthly machete that practices violence to the point of murder, Those who adhere to the single monotheistic belief are subject to the principle of enticement, as they have paradise and its houris, and on earth they have whatever they want because they are always and forever right, and being right justifies everything they do, even killing, occupation, conquest, looting, and plunder. This is the concept of Bedouin rights, the concept of spoils of war! .

Since what is called extremism is, in reality, nothing more than a position or opinion that deviates, by a short or long distance, from another position or opinion, we do not find it necessary to call this position “extremism.” Theoretically, it can be said that every opinion and position is extremism, i.e., it represents an extreme party. Extremism is moderation, and moderation is extremism! From a practical standpoint, there is no objection to using an additional term for a position or opinion, such as “extremism” or a party position that indicates distance or proximity from other positions and opinions.

Any system or position that relies on the absolute or the sacred is by nature dogmatic or extremist, according to the general understanding of extremism.

When we start from the worldly reality of this region, where the overwhelming majority are Muhammadans, there is no error in saying that religion is about believers or the believer’s understanding of religion, regardless of jurisprudence and its interpretations, Since the absolute and the sacred are extremism, religion is therefore inherently extremist, not by its nature, We are faced with a system that is dogmatic in nature and, consequently, pathogenic in nature, Its disease is destructive to the mind, emotions, conscience, behavior, and knowledge, which must be subject to the rules of evolution.

“Extremism” means a weakened ability to reflect, think, and use the mind in a constructive and beneficial manner, The mind does not function under the dominance of tradition, and therefore it atrophies and dies!

So-called extremism requires its hostile form. Therefore, enemies are created, hatred is practiced, and emotional outbursts are practiced against them, which are primarily destructive to the hater and those around them.

The rapid fall into the pitfall of anger is part of popular culture in this country. Let’s not forget the fall into impulsiveness or enthusiasm based on the rule “Upon them!!” without reason, which has caused many disastrous wars.

The hostile stance toward the West and those who hate the West are only an illustrative example of the necessity of enemies and the necessity of hating them, The main source of all that was mentioned is the Bedouinism that invaded the religion in the first test in the Saqifah, and it still, by its nature, dominates the peoples and the religion until this moment, Therefore, for those who do not want extremism and terrorism, there is no alternative but to eradicate Bedouinism and liberate themselves from fanaticism and fanaticism!
