      The culture in Arabized Muslim societies is characterized by a totalitarianism based on violence and the elimination of the other, Eliminating the other practically means the absence of dialogue because there is no other to talk to, The believer imposes and does not engage in dialogue, and as long as he believes, he is right, This culture was formed as a result of numerous accumulations in consciousness over a relatively long period, and it was characterized by Bedouin traits of aggression, terrorism, arrogance, and pride. Then it adopted an exclusionary and eliminationist ideology and the preference of the Arab, i.e., the Arabized, over others in the eyes of God, who considered the Arabs and the Arabized to be the best nation! We in Syria are a “nation” like any other nation, and we are not the best nation!

  The accumulation of this culture began with the advent of the Prophet Muhammad’s mission and continued alongside it, spreading to the newly conquered regions, These regions can be divided into two parts: one where this culture persisted, such as the area between the Atlantic Ocean and the Arabian Gulf, and another where it ceased, as in Spain, India, parts of Eastern Europe and Asia, and elsewhere, In the region between the Atlantic and the Arabian Gulf, the culture of the desert nomadic groups remained dominant and prevalent, characterized by its primitiveness, brutality, and other traits honed by the desert’s aridity and harshness, This fostered corruption, cruelty, revenge, retaliation, and treachery, as well as a patriarchal, muscular attitude towards women, who were perceived as physically weaker, This attitude allowed women to become captives and slaves to male dominance, particularly through the legalization of polygamy, Furthermore, it fostered a condescending view of women, considering them deficient in intellect and religious understanding, and reducing them to mere breeding grounds for rapid, uncontrolled reproduction, This, in turn, thwarted all projects of development, progress, and civilization, perpetuating conflict, violence, and racism. It also established an economy based on raids, war booty, tribute, and other forms of exploitation, This system ultimately led to an economic catastrophe after the cessation of the conquests, which, however, never truly ended, With the cessation of population growth, when conquests were no longer possible, the numbers became a problem! Imposing Bedouin culture on the peoples of the conquered regions, such as the Levant, North Africa, and Mesopotamia, halted the progress and development of these regions, and thus stagnation and backwardness took root in them, after those peoples had contributed greatly to the progress of humanity and established civilizations recognized among the ten major world civilizations, such as the Greco-Roman civilization, then the Mesopotamian civilization, the Pharaonic civilization, the Mayan civilization, the Chinese civilization, etc. Bedouin culture did not represent a recognized civilization, but rather inferiority, backwardness, and barbarity!

 Had it not been for Bedouin colonialism, a civilization of openness, dialogue, acceptance of others, and respect for freedoms would have prevailed in this region. These areas would have developed positively, as Spain did, and their people would have become leaders in progress, civilization, and the ability to understand and interact with the world, They would have avoided wars, death, destruction, seas of blood, and disasters, and would have lived in peace and harmony with themselves and with all other peoples of the world, Bedouin occupation destroyed humanity and life, and ruined the societies it controlled, We do not know now how many generations are needed to get rid of the chronic plague of Bedouinism, nor do we know if getting rid of it is ever possible, The assimilation of the cultures of many peoples of the open regions into Bedouin culture created an identity crisis, especially after the Bedouin Arab identity dominated the identities of the peoples of those regions who were Arabized, For a whole century after the First World War, they practiced internal colonialism by clinging to the Bedouin Arab identity, and consequently reaped failure after failure.

The eras of Bedouin life caused a great imbalance in the personality of the Arabized man, causing him to lose his balance and ending his sense of belonging to himself and his civilization, It contributed greatly to the production of hybrid, conflicting, and fighting sects and tribes, whose conscience was dominated by the spirit of tyranny and racism, which was formed during the era of the Rightly Guided Caliphate, then the Umayyad and Abbasid caliphates, and after the Abbasids the Ottoman caliphate, which carried a Bedouin culture whose origin was in the deserts of Turan adjacent to China, which did not differ in its entirety from the Bedouin culture of the Arabian Peninsula.

Arabism was transformed from an external colonialism to an internal one that exploited the new religious affiliation and promoted the idea that religion is Arabism and Arabism is religion, Here, Arabism was mixed with religion, that is, political Arabism was mixed with the sacred, unseen religion, which hindered the project of separating religion from the state, unlike Europe, which succeeded in separating religion from the state, while religion was integrated with the state in this region, that is, Arabism was integrated with religion, and thus religion and Arabism were distorted at the same time, Just as religion controlled, Arabism wanted to control with the same methods of dictatorship, exclusion, takfir, treason, corruption, racism, etc.

 The continuation of Bedouin rule through the Caliphate and then the Sultanate for that long period enabled Bedouin culture to become entrenched in the people’s consciousness, especially since Bedouin rule did not practically stop with the end of the First World War, but continued at the hands of the Arabists and the Muslim Brotherhood, especially after 1928 until now, and it worsened to include even the name that became the “Arab” Syrian Republic, which took its laws from Sharia, It was a mistake to say that the state of Syria was established after the First World War on Syrian land, What was established on this land was the Bedouin Quraysh Caliphate mixed with the Turanian Ottoman Sultanate!
