  The school is an extension of the home and the family, and life at home is mixed, so we don’t see any reason to separate girls from boys in school, Despite this, there are those who reject mixing, and the source of this rejection is primarily religious, without any right or responsibility, Here is Mufti Ibn Baz offering his opinion on education and mixing, followed by Sheikh Al-Huwayni and a large group of sheikhs and so-called scholars, Scholars in what field?! Chemistry, physics, sociology, etc.? Has Al-Huwayni become Durkheim and Ibn Baz Max Weber, etc.? There is no point in discussing with these people regarding the school, education, and mixing, as all of that is not their responsibility, and talking to them is nothing but a waste of time, The situation of the holy books, which are thousands of years old, is no different from the situation of Al-Huwayni and Ibn Baz,These books have no relation to the organization of the school, scientifically or behaviorally, Despite that, we will take what these people say seriously and will try to answer their objections and questions!

They claim that the presence of female and male students in the same hall is a source of moral problems! Cohabitation is not the source of problems; rather, life with its complexities and contradictions is the primary and ultimate source of moral dilemmas. Furthermore, it is well-known that the religious scholars’ understanding of the term “moral problem” differs significantly from that of others, We do not consider the development of romantic relationships between the sexes a “problem,” but rather a solution, A girl meets a boy in school, and a relationship develops between them; this is natural in life, Isolating the girl from the boy is a source of problems due to the lack of prior experience with the opposite sex, Marriage brings a profoundly deep relationship and places it in the hands of someone ignorant of the nuances of the relationship between men and women, In this case, a breakdown in the marital relationship becomes inevitable, To prevent this breakdown from becoming visible, the woman is placed under the absolute authority of the man, thus negating her as a partner and domesticating her as an object to be manipulated as the man pleases, Therefore, it can be said that the man becomes his own partner, not the partner of his wife, whose functional existence is effectively erased,The man is married to himself, and he acquires a woman to work as a servant during the day and a slave at night, and then as an incubator to give birth to children, This is the woman as some religious men imagine her, and in their perceptions they rely on texts that support, justify and legitimize all of that.

The muslim Brotherhood speaks of the dangers of “fitna” (strife/discord) resulting from mixing of the sexes, and even religious scholars are ignorant of the implications of the concept of fitna, which is a distinctly Islamic religious concept, Fitna is not a personal matter between a woman and a man, but rather a collective matter, unlike infatuation, which is personal, Fitna is a concept invented to describe situations that do not exist in this era, The issue of Uthman was fitna, Siffin was fitna, Karbala as well, apostasy, etc. Moreover, the concept is pre-Islamic, and its use in this era is out of place and out of time. The study environment is not a place for fitna in its various linguistic connotations, The instigator of fitna is the one with the opposing stance and opinion, not the one who admires the girl or the boy, Admiration and affection do not contain fitna, but rather infatuation, Then it is said that the instigator of fitna has great problems with God, for God will punish the instigator of fitna with a severe punishment. Would God punish someone He loves?

They also say that mixing exposes girls to harassment and molestation, and here they reverse the matter, as the lack of mixing and repression is the main cause of harassment that is mainly found in closed societies, The sexual instinct remains one of the most important instincts, and this instinct is active in adolescence and does not stop at a certain age, but in a closed society that prohibits mixing even in the years of male and female innocence, the monster of harassment is unleashed to reach an unimaginable form.

  This instinct is tamed in several ways, including mixing with others and getting used to their presence, thus eliminating curiosity, and then with deterrent punishments, Mixing remains the ideal treatment that relies on returning the person to his mixed social space, at which point the need for harassment diminishes, The person who lives in a natural mixed social environment does not tend towards the harassment that the savage person is passionate about, The savagery of the person is produced by exposing him to conditions that contradict and conflict with his social nature.  

   Those who oppose gender mixing claim that it leads to the spread of moral crimes such as adultery and fornication, Here, we must say that the meanings of the aforementioned terms, such as fornication, are very different, Fornication according to the Brotherhood’s concepts is very different from fornication according to the secular or civil dictionary, The handshake of the governor of Mosul with the representative of the European Union or the handshake of a head of state with the foreign minister of Europe is considered by the Brotherhood to be fornication, while refusing to shake hands is fornication according to the civil moral perspective, The religious perspective does not align with the natural order of life, so it can be said that it is barbarity, Is the role of the school to create monsters?

There are many Brotherhood objections to gender mixing, We have sufficed with mentioning some examples, Gender mixing in schools, institutes, universities, and in life in general is a self-evident matter that the vast majority of societies on Earth do not dispute, The Brotherhood should have familiarized themselves with the educational and upbringing models in countries that are successful in education and upbringing,We do not know the name of that disease that afflicted the Salafist  Brotherhood     , but we know several reasons for their inability to learn and benefit from the experiences of others, such as mysticism, ignorance, dogmatism, sanctification, and the delusion that they are the best nation, etc. They destroyed themselves and committed suicide, and no one destroyed them!
