Objectification simply means reducing the value and existence of a human being to the level of an object that is bought and sold, It is a devaluation of the value of a human being and a denial of their humanity before turning them into a mere tool. If religion is accused of practically devaluing women, this does not mean that religion is unique in monopolizing this characteristic, Therefore, it is necessary to search for other sources of this devaluation, Bedouin life was and still is a major source of devaluation, because women are not as competent as men in the operations of raiding, fighting, looting, and killing, which represented the main source of covering the expenses of the Bedouin’s life, Due to physical conditions, women were unable to participate in theft, looting, plundering, and fighting in general. Therefore, their value was reduced to the value of an object that the Bedouin steals, loots, and takes captive!

There are other sources of belittlement, and what concerns us most is the belittling of women in this region, Capitalism belittles humanity in general, Postmodernism also belittles humanity, not just women,However, the groups in this region have no connection to capitalism, nor to postmodernism, These groups exist in a pre-agricultural stage and in pre-state stages, The groups are clans and tribes that behave within the framework of Bedouin culture, which did not fall from the sky by some miracle, but rather came from the cave in which they were born and raised, Due to the difference in historical and environmental contexts, the situation of women in this region cannot be compared to the situation of humanity in capitalism or in postmodernism!

The objectification of women denies their existence as independent human beings, equal in value, dignity, and needs to others, especially men, Objectification reduces women to inanimate objects, stripped of individuality, independence, and free will, Nawal El Saadawi said of this: “Women live with stark social contradictions, They must be cold, chaste, and pure, neither feeling nor desiring sex, They must be instruments of pleasure, satisfying their husbands sexually to the point of intoxication, Their bodies are considered shameful and must be concealed by moral standards, yet they are also considered fair game and must be exposed by the standards of commercial marriage and advertising, I don’t think there is any exploitation more heinous or degradation more severe than that which women endure, They are prey between two conflicting forces, like a piece of meat between two predatory jaws, All of this is normal in a society where women have lost the components of their personalities, been emptied of their humanity, and transformed into objects or tools—sometimes tools for advertising, sometimes tools for purchasing.” Consumption, which is sometimes a tool for pleasure and serving desires, and sometimes a vessel for children, in short, a servant during the day and an unpaid slave at night, then an incubator for the birth of warrior fighters!

The customs, traditions, norms, and rulings by which the communities in this region treat women are truly outdated, Religious concepts in a society known for its piety primarily practice objectification, reducing women to mere sexual reproductive organs! Let these communities, for once, be honest with themselves and possess the bare minimum of self-respect, of which women constitute more than half, Isn’t it shameful that the saying “women are deficient in intellect and religion” hasn’t been removed, not only from the Quran but also from the local cultural and moral fabric? Isn’t it shameful to consider the dismissal of women from responsibility, and thus the denial of their capacity for will and leadership, as an honor to them? Is honoring a woman by rendering her functionally disabled? Is honoring a woman by exempting her from financial responsibility and turning her into a parasite who must obey or go hungry? Is exempting a woman from financial responsibility less than preventing her from working? They also claim that considering a woman’s testimony equal to half that of a man is out of respect and appreciation for her because she has a weak memory. Who has scientifically proven that women have weak memories? Surely you are not mentally sound, my dear friends!

They claim that the formation of the new Muslim woman, who is not equal in any way, is achieved by fighting the wave of sexual liberation for women and what they call sexual permissiveness, They want her to return to the home, maintain chastity, refrain from mixing with the opposite sex, and then wear the   veil (hijab), so that she does not become a source of arousing men’s desires and temptation, The new Muslim woman is primarily represented by her being protected of her reproductive organs, and this protection is necessary in order to privatize the employment of reproductive organs and move away from experimental public employment, Each woman has only one experience, and with only one man, Do these rules and rulings apply to the man?

Despite all this, women are gaining more control over their bodies, wombs, and vaginas, and their independence and freedom are increasing, even in religious societies, This is an unstoppable development because a powerful global culture is behind it, and consequently, everything this culture wants will become a reality!
