Syriano, Mufid Bitar:
It is no wonder that the totalitarian culture spread in the Bedouin societies of the Muhaymidah, especially the Arab ones, It is a culture based on violence and the elimination of the other, and it resulted from the sediment of fanaticism, exclusion, aggression, violence, terrorism, hatred, revenge, exclusion and superiority (the best nation), All of this contributed to shaping the current Arab Muhaymidah personality.
All of this began before the call to Muhamadya and much of it was transferred to the religion after the call , which bestowed upon the totalitarian culture sanctity and divine legitimacy, The new religion organized the affairs of the Bedouin without any fundamental change from the pre-Islamic era, What was important was conquest and the spoils of war, and how to deal with the spoils of war, especially their division according to percentages that were dedicated and encouraged looting, theft, and piracy, The new creed, which recommended forbidding evil, practiced evil itself, and established rules and regulations for dividing the spoils of war, Instead of forbidding theft, theft was legitimized and sanctified to the point of deification, It was said in the hadith: “Eat what you have gained, it is lawful and pure,” and “Whoever dies without thinking of conquest dies on a branch of hypocrisy…” etc. So, the spoils of war are lawful and pure, and conquest is obligatory! What a disgrace!!!
Bedouin life was a forced social and environmental condition imposed by the harsh nature of the desert, with no water or pasture, drought and a grueling struggle to secure the necessities of life, and wars that never stopped between the tribes due to competition and disputes over spoils, which rooted the spirit of revenge, raiding, killing, arrogance, violence and racism in the Bedouin soul, This is in addition to the practice of other evils such as polygamy and contempt for women because they are physically weaker than men and less capable than them of using the sword and collecting spoils, That is, the values of physical strength, domination and Bedouin oppression prevailed over the femininity that is qualified to be more humane than the virile Bedouin male is qualified for that.
Bedouin society was deeply influenced by the feudalism that emerged from the conquest economy following the Bedouin invasions of the East and West, This economy was based on the concept of the right of might rather than the might of right, The spoils of war were considered permissible and lawful, an application of the right of physical strength—that is, the right to domination, subjugation, and conquest, This was practiced by conquerors and the Caliph’s agents, such as Khalid ibn al-Walid, Uqba ibn Nafi, Musa ibn Nusayr, and others, Each of them was given a city or region to plunder as they pleased, within the framework of a power-sharing agreement with the Caliph or Ibn Abdullah, One-fifth of the spoils went to God, His Messenger, or the Caliph, while the remaining four-fifths went to the other raiders,This power-sharing arrangement and the large share given to the warriors encouraged their practices, which were not limited to material gains but also included human resources, especially captive women, Ibn Abdullah received one-fifth of these women and had the full right to sell them, add them to his harem as concubines, or exchange them, as happened with Safiyya, the captive of Dihya al-Kalbi, Ibn Abdullah exchanged her for a large number of his captives, i.e., his share of the captives. The same thing happened in essence with Juwayriya, Rayhana, and others, By the way, Safiyya’s age when she was captured was about 15 to 18 years old, and Juwayriya’s age was 20 years old!!!
The Bedouin were defeated despite the conquests and military victories, Military victory is very different from success in life, The defeat of the Bedouin has no relation to the corruption of civilization, especially in this era , from which it refused to take, Nor does it lie in turning away from religion, but primarily in the religious economy of raids, which established the historical and social stagnation and thus an isolationist process from which no one benefited and which did not benefit from others except in material aspects such as tribute,The encounter with the peoples of the colonies was not accompanied by creative interaction, as the peoples of the colonies were more civilized than the barbarity of the invaders, The invaders could have learned from the peoples of the Levant, the peoples of Egypt, India, the Berber peoples, and others, but contact with the peoples of the colonies was limited to the economy of raids, that is, tribute and collection from others by force while they were humiliated.
In the medium and long term, those invasions, which were accomplished with astonishing speed, led to the building of a giant empire, and later led to the rapid disintegration of that empire in various ways, including, for example, disputes, wars, and the agricultural paralysis that afflicted the inhabitants of the Levant, who were active before the occupation of their lands in agriculture and other aspects of life,This was due to the Romans’ attention to irrigation canals, urban development, road construction, building, and all other aspects of life, such as the establishment of giant theaters and the patronage of various arts, The Roman era did not know that exhausting tribute, There was intellectual life, and there were thinkers and thinkers from the people of the Levant, There were also Syrian emperors in Rome, and then jurists, so that it can be said that the Roman law that is still in force, especially in Europe, was made by Syrian jurists such as Banipal and others, The Romans did not rely on tribute and did not differentiate between the Syrian and the Roman in rights and duties.
The Quraysh Caliphate of the Hejaz can be likened to the Ottoman Sultanate, Just as the Ottoman Sultanate destroyed itself, the Hejaz Caliphate also destroyed itself, that is, at the hands of its Bedouin ways and its unproductive sterility,The invaders produced nothing but rivers of blood and destruction, unlike the treasury of the Caliphate, that is, the treasury, which was full of looted goods, The new doctrine legislated ways to obtain them by force and then distribute them according to the rules of division between the thieves and the leadership of the thieves, on the principle of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, Omar Ibn Al-Khattab was like Ali Baba, We can ask today about the source of the finances of his Caliphate! Were not the funds of his treasury from the spoils of war?! We have no knowledge of another source.
This point reminded us of one of the Salafist clowns, who openly promoted carrying out two raids in Europe annually to reform the Egyptian economy, following the example of Ibn Abdullah, who carried out two raids annually on average, Omar Ibn Al-Khattab has died, but he is still alive and well in the person of Sheikh Al-Huwayni, who invented the idea of raiding Europe, Al-Huwayni did not forget the yellow-clad girls, promising to kidnap some of them in his raids, then he made plans to sell them, give them as gifts, or put them at the disposal of his guests for a period of time, thus imitating Ibn Abdullah in his raids.
How were the treasuries of the Caliphs filled, and from what sources? There is no source of money except the property and money of the victims, then the sale of the captives as goods and other practices of thieves and human traffickers,The legislation of the “sacred” texts for the looted and stolen goods and the establishment of rules for dividing them between God and His Messenger and the warriors was encouraging to the warriors, It seems that God was a partner in the theft and trade of the captives or the acquisition of some of them as slaves.
The history of religions does not know of a case of this kind, and whoever wants to learn more in detail about the spoils of war and the wealth of Ibn Abdullah should refer to Al-Waqidi’s Forty Books regarding the Prophet’s biography and the sources of Ibn Abdullah’s wealth!
