The new Ottomans in Syria
For some of those who cohabitated in Syria, the issue of the Syrian “homeland” became confused with the issue of the Caliphate or the Ottoman Sultanate, These people were no longer able to determine the priorities of their identity and belonging in a way that was consistent with the conditions of Syrian citizenship, For all of this, there were motives and reasons, most of which may still be centered in the collective unconscious, but they began to manifest themselves emotionally, which we notice in some people during their timid positions and lack of candor at times, and they depend on falsification, deceit, and sometimes lying, The issue of candor and publicity was only a matter of time. Those who now practice their Ottomanism in secret will practice it openly in the future, and what has settled in the unconscious will surface in appropriate circumstances at the level of consciousness and appear publicly, It has appeared publicly recently, with the Brotherhood, or a large part of them, standing with the faltering Turkish occupier of northern Syria, or even canceling the commemoration of May 6, on the grounds that those who were hanged by the butcher Jamal Pasha in Damascus, Beirut, and other regions were criminals. They are not citizens or Syrian-Lebanese nationalists.
The scale of the public manifestation in the future will be greater than some expected, as Ottomanism has crept into their conscience, not because it is a germ that was forcibly transferred to this conscience, but because it is a state with deep roots in history, Even before the end of World War I, there was a Syrian group promoting submission to Istanbul, the reason being their denial of the Ottoman colonial presence, The presence of the Ottomans for 400 years was not an “occupation,” but rather a “legitimate” state derived from the legitimacy of the Caliphate in general, Ottoman or Arab, it makes no difference, The presence of the Ottomans with the governor, tax collector, and travel broker Berlik was the natural and legitimate form of Syria, the Syrians, and the Lebanese, who were transformed into Ottoman subjects that no longer exist, They live, therefore, in a state of illusion and delusion of the existence of what does not exist, They live as brothers now in exile, or in the Syrian diaspora, awaiting the birth of the Caliphate in Syria or outside it again.
The concept, development and growth of Ottomanism were subject to many religious environmental conditions and objective circumstances, including the failure of ijtihad regarding the vague and ambiguous international caliphate state, Therefore, it became inevitable to ignore it, In the context of the inevitability of ignoring the great international caliphate, Ottoman Turkey appeared with an appearance with imperial characteristics, inspired by the Ottoman Sultanate, What helped this was the deception of the successes of Erdogan’s Turkey in achieving remarkable economic growth and relatively good stability, which was not at the hands of Erdogan and his party, but in spite of Erdogan and his party, His predecessor, Ozal, was the owner of the economic openness, which bore fruit years after his death, that is, during Erdogan’s era.
All of this suggested to some that Erdoganism was a successful movement because it was Islamic, and its success was proof of the validity of the muslim Brotherhood’s claim regarding the state and faith, Thus, these people transformed Erdoganism into a caliphate, Erdogan into the Commander of the Faithful, and Ottoman Turkey assumed an alternative position to the greater international caliphate.
Are the stuttering brothers Syrians?? The answer here is an absolute no, They are not Syrians, and they have no connection to the Syrian identity,They belong, in heart and in practice, to a dead Ottoman entity, which, when it was alive, practiced, as a colonial occupier, the most heinous practices known to human history,For them, the barbarity of the Ottomans is unimportant, nor is the barbarity of Ottomanism, which history knows of nothing lower than it. What was important to them was the Muhammadan doctrine of the Ottoman Turks and the Syrians, subject to the rules of loyalty and disavowal, The new Ottomans among the Syrians cannot be considered, legally and morally, anything but traitors practicing an allegiance that has no connection to Syrian citizenship,That their homeland is not Syria, They said it openly and repeatedly, and they behaved as strangers and enemies of Syria, It is foolish to insist on considering them Syrians, and it is foolish to expect them to participate in building Syria.
Accordingly, and based on the necessity of establishing facts, no matter how bitter, it must be emphasized that the path to the new Syria does not pass through the muslim Brotherhood and through the Caliphate, and not with the faltering Brotherhood, for with them it is not possible to establish an independent, advanced Syria, but rather to establish the Ottoman state of Syria with the believers as citizens, This is what the principle or concept of loyalty and disavowal says.
Be Ottomans as you want, but do not claim to be Syrians, You are in fact an extension of the ugliest colonialism known to history, There is no one more despicable than the one who lives on a land that he claims is his homeland, then helps a foreigner occupy and steal this homeland, Even Hitler despised the one who helped him occupy his country, There is no greater despicableness than the despicableness of the one who welcomed the occupation of Afrin and helped Erdogan’s army occupy part of the Syrian country.
