Syria: the historic fall of the Al-Assad regime - Cartooning for Peace

The Arab Muhammadan reality is in crisis from   aspects… economically, politically and socially, Exclusion, ostracism and the failure of the groups that make up the peoples of the region to deal with each other is one aspect of the crisis, Thus, as a result of exclusion, one group after another recedes and disappears, Thus, the Jews of the countries of this region receded and eventually disappeared, leaving only 150 people in Syria, 11 people in Bahrain, and hundreds in Iraq, Will the increasing decline of Christians in Syria, after their percentage of the population has reached an estimated 1%, end with the disappearance of their presence like the Jews?

Years ago, the journalist Jihad al-Din wrote in the An-Nahar newspaper that the crisis of the Christian presence in the East in general is related to the troubled reality of Muhammadanism. There is no doubt that the development of the Christian presence has no connection with politics in general, because this group has no direct relationship with the nature of political regimes. They do not carry a political project of their own, meaning they do not represent a political sector, and because their religious affiliation has no connection with their political orientations, At the local level, they do not threaten the ruling regimes and do not want a ruling regime from among them, Despite this, the issue of the decline and extinction of Christians in Syria remains an expected matter, and one could even say it is inevitable, because it is linked to a large extent to the composition and structure of the peoples of the region and to the cultural, social and religious heritage of these peoples, a heritage based on “inequality” and belittles some people in general, Even among Muhammadans, the importance of some sects is belittled, The issue of Christianity and Christians is not a political issue, but rather a moral-cultural issue, an issue that raises the problem of the possibility of “coexistence,” if not living or living together. Between Muhammadans and non-Muhammads.

Judaism disappeared in the Arab East because of the accusation of the Jews’ collusion with Zionism that occupied Palestine, The accusation of collusion and sympathy with the West was the accusation that strained the relationship between religious groups in Syria. This accusation was originally directed at Christians indirectly, by accusing America of waging a crusade in the East and accusing Russia of waging a religious war in Syria against the Muhammadan majority,Those who fight us and drop bombs on our homes and children are your brothers in religion! There is no such brotherhood in this religion, and there is no loyalty and disavowal among this accused group.

The view of brotherhood in religion between local Christians and global Christianity and the responsibility of Eastern and Western Christianity for wars and bombs includes accusing local Christians of treason, then stripping them of Syrian nationality and merging them with Russian or American nationalism, so that the Christian feels like a stranger in the country he inhabits and has lived in since ancient times, The Christian, and consequently Christianity, feels strange when the matter of Muhammadan tolerance towards others and the good hospitality of the Muhammadans to others is waved, then it is noted that the Muhammadans sheltered you,     and fed you, and if it were not for their humanity, they would have slaughtered you, and if it were not for their conquests, they would have left you enslaved by the Roman-Persian colonizer. Despite that, you work as a fifth column for the benefit of Russia and America, Because of that, churches were bombed in Iraq and Egypt, and the division of people continued even before the era of ISIS into believers and infidels,The division of people was not exclusively ISIS, but also Assad, as the Assads arranged people into categories, There is a first, second, third category, etc. The situation is similar in Egypt and Iraq, Saudi Arabia, the Gulf, Libya, Algeria and Sudan, especially with the ruling julani  since  months,   the situation has clearly worsened and migration abroad has increased.

Many do not realize the connotations of some of the concepts they cherish, including, but not limited to, Mufti Hassoun, In a speech in 2010, he said, “Do not fear for Christians because they are in the bosom of Islam,” The Mufti did not realize the deeper meaning of a citizen living in the bosom of another religion, A citizen usually lives in the bosom of the homeland and not in the bosom of another sect, The Mufti did not realize that with this generous offer, he has turned others into guests or residents whom the Muhammedan tolerates out of pity for them, then tolerance and forgiveness for them, What does he have to forgive them for??? Can this offer not indicate that these people are sinners and miserable and need pity, compassion and forgiveness? In short, they are not the other, they are lower than the other, and the other is like a compassionate and kind guardian to them!

From the hypothesis of the spaciousness of Muhammadiyah, the problem of a group of citizens not feeling equal to another group was born, and that a group of citizens does not live in the homeland, but in the spaciousness of religion, and is the spaciousness of religion a homeland?? The other problem is the problem of tolerance, and what is meant by tolerance is not the noble tolerance stipulated in the document on human rights principles from the year 1995, which turned tolerance into a legal value that means accepting diversity and respecting this diversity and did not mean guardianship over anyone, the populist purpose of tolerance depends on some people possessing the characteristics of tolerance and chivalry and others on weakness and the need for a forgiving and merciful master, whatever the case here it can be said that populist tolerance includes the characteristic of superiority and thus distinction from others on the basis of religious belief, this tolerance does not unite but separates, because its essence is inequality.

We do not think that it is possible, through decrees and edicts, to stop the development of decline into extinction, because most of the problem of “ostracism” is not political, but rather popular and related to the general feeling prevailing in the street, which does not mean evil through the spaciousness of Muhammad and tolerance, but rather does evil.

A secular solution was necessary as an inevitable beginning, but it cannot eliminate the problem in the short term, A long-term period of enlightenment is necessary, and the length of this period will cancel out its effect on the expected extinction of Christianity, It is said that Syria will be completely devoid of Christianity within two or three years, almost like Iraq, The matter is not only related to Jews and Christians, but may include other groups that do not need to be mentioned by name, Rejecting the other under the pretext of superiority over him will continue as long as there is another and there are those who think that they monopolize superiority over him due to the type of their religious affiliation .
