Disagreement with history, and the Arabs’ departure from it…

Ma Bitar, Syriano:
كاريكاتير: العرب وإسرائيل | كاريكاتير | الجزيرة نت An Arabist wrote the following: “They want us to disavow our history, to evade it, and to ask for forgiveness for it… These are the first essential steps on the path to ending our existence…” We have observations on the Arabist’s refusal to acknowledge the mistake and thus apologize, i.e., what is called reconciliation with history, We also object to considering apology and acknowledgment of the mistake as a threat to the existence of that Arabist and his people, Acknowledgment and apology are foundational to existence and guarantee it, not a threat to it!!!

It is said that the Arabs colonized peoples like other colonizers. Without a doubt, there is no state or society that has not attacked others. Therefore, evil is universal! However, the universality of evil does not legitimize it and turn it into a rule for life and for dealing with the people of life, Generalized evil does not change its exceptionality, Every colonizer excelled at justifying his colonization in one way and another, The goals of colonization, for the most part or even all of them, were purely materialistic and self-serving, Britain colonized India, so it had to colonize the route to India, i.e., the Suez Cana, The Ottomans colonized the Arab countries because they were the successors of the Abbasid Caliphate, They do not consider themselves colonizers, but rather entrusted by God with the care of their brothers in faith in the Levant and other regions, This is what the  muslim   Brotherhood also claims!

We do not see, in the Arab world, any possibility of confusing the concept of conquest with the concept of colonialism, nor do we see, in the non-Arab world, any possibility of separating the two concepts,Foreign languages do not differentiate between the concept of conquest and the concept of colonialism,In the Arab world, the word “conquest” in the Intermediate Dictionary refers to “conquest and ownership.” As for the political concept of conquests, it is the “annexation” of the conquered lands to the conquering party, considering them as a province of its provinces, and applying a special system to them derived from the duality of “master-slave.” The roots of this system were in the Qur’anic Book, in revelation and texts, and then in the will of the caliphs and jurists.

They claim that the conquests were not aimed at colonizing the population and the land, but rather at spreading the call and jihad in the way of God, There is no logic in spreading the call through occupation or conquest by the sword, as the concept of the call does not include the use of the sword and the practice of invasion, killing and slaughter, nor does it include the concept of “submit and be safe” nor does it include captivity and concubines, nor does it include the spoils of conquest and the methods of distributing the spoils, nor does it include the Pact of Umar, nor the sum total of what the Arab Bedouin conquerors did for 1000 years, and after them the Ottomans for 400 years, in total 1400 years of stagnation, ignorance, injustice, violence, wars, exploitation, crime, Arabization and then Turkification, which destroyed the present and future of the peoples of the Middle East region!

Considering the land as a province and property of the Caliphate, then the master-slave duality, and working to change people’s religious affiliation, as if other religions were not divine, then paying the jizya(tribute) or facing war, creating a racist society, then Arabization, Turkification, and Islamization targeting people and stones…strongholds and minds! All of this was done by the sword and slaughter, and all of this was like a heinous attack on others, even if it was done without slaughter, and even if there were tribes in the Levant who migrated north in search of water and pasture, all of this and the existence of these tribes does not justify killing the inhabitants of the Levant and attacking them, even with the call, with lies, fabrication, and hypocrisy, they turned the Creator into a hypocrite and a war criminal, Were there Arab Bedouin tribes in Spain, India, Eastern Europe, and the lands of the Berbers??? All of this was fabrication and an attempt to whitewash the black and paint vice with the paint of virtue.

The primary aim of examining these issues is not to prosecute those who committed these acts, for those who did so are dead, Rather, we are addressing the legacy and urging its reconciliation with history and an end to the conflict with it, Reconciliation with history can only be achieved through candor and acknowledgment of wrongdoing,The German people reconciled with history after committing crimes under the leadership of the Kaiser and the Führer, igniting world wars, The Germans apologized, their international standing was settled, and they established a new state that managed to lead the world scientifically, culturally, and humanistically, As for the Arabists or Arabized individuals, many of them still consider the expulsion of the Bedouin from Spain an evil act, for Spain is Arab and must return to the Caliphate, Not only Spain, but also Eastern Europe and India as well, Here, that “scoundrel” Gandhi ruined the preparations for the Caliphate in India, which was meant to be established as a continuation of the rule of the faithful Mughals.

There are extreme difficulties in the practice of apologizing among the young, for apologizing is a characteristic of adults, and adults alone possess the compensatory balance, they possess virtues that cover the bad, And where are the virtues of the Bedouin of the Arabian Peninsula and later the Arabized ones, that can compensate for the mistakes of savagery? And what did Bedouinism offer humanity in terms of positives other than wars, violence, and terrorism? Did they apologize for their aggression against others and the occupation of nearly a quarter of the globe? Rather, some of them threaten and now herald the return of the conquest to Spain, a harbinger of utter rudeness, And rudeness is the main source of disregard, stubbornness, denial of facts, right, equality, and sound morals, and of falsification and absurd hypocrisy aimed at coloring vice with the color of virtue.

Whether colonization was blessed by Her Majesty the British or by the Heavenly Creator, the truth and logic lie in viewing the situation from the perspective of the colonized peoples, not just from the perspective of the colonizer, The colonized peoples did not request the arrival of Tariq ibn Ziyad, nor did they request the continuation of the Bedouin occupation for more than 700 years in Spain! History does not know of a people who requested to be colonized by others, Furthermore, adopting a particular religion is a personal will and desire, not a social or popular demand, Whoever wants a particular religion, let them have what they want, Therefore, it is not permissible to colonize peoples under the pretext of religion, The issue of “entering the religion in droves” or the sudden conversion of several tribes to the new religion after military victory over them represents a distortion of religion, which represents a kind of personal relationship with Heaven.

It is not the task of the Arabs, in their current moral crisis, or even their complete economic, political, social, and scientific crisis, to guide the English, French, or Russian people on the best way to address their immorality, colonialism, and exploitation, Let the Arabists guide themselves first before guiding others. Whoever considers themselves a moral exemplar should practice morality so that others may follow their example, Then, the Arabists or those who claim to be Arabs will disavow the actions of their ancestors and apologize, just as the West disavows and apologizes for its actions, The Arabs were exemplars of occupation, oppression, murder, savagery, and appropriation as spoils of war, The Arabists, who consider Spain their property, have no right to accuse the Zionists of anything,The twisted logic that claims Spain belongs to them is the same twisted logic that claims Palestine belongs to the Zionists, Besides, it is Spain, not Andalusia! For many historical reasons, it can be said that the claims of some Arab nationalists regarding Spain are far worse than the claims of the Zionists regarding Palestine. At least there were no Arabs in Palestine 1446 years ago; there were only Jews and Christians.

The lies are repeated in the same pattern and methodology. The believers came to save the people of Spain from the oppression of the “Goths,” so everyone was colonized, Goths and non-Goths alike. Khalid ibn al-Walid came to save the people of the Levant from the Romans. The Romans left, and Khalid and his descendants remained. And so it was with Amr ibn al-Aas in Egypt to save the Egyptians, and Uqba ibn Nafi to save the Berbers from the Berbers. As for India and Persia, there is no end to the stories. The Bedouin of the Arabian Peninsula sacrificed their lives to save humanity and lift oppression from people. But why did the savior remain for hundreds of years with his sword hanging over people’s necks? Couldn’t they have gone back to where they came from?

These are arguments that lack basic knowledge and credibility, and are cloaked in the garb of idealism, They are arguments steeped in darkness, wrapped in deception and contempt for the Creator, whom they accuse of being the one who ordered the conquests, the one who ordered the enslavement, the one who ordered the theft, looting, killing and crime, and the one who ordered the removal of the governor Abu al-Muhajir Dinar, because he did not steal and loot as the Caliphate wanted him to steal and loot.

Was it a conquest, a programmed plunder, and a legalized crime? And was it not a rescue, a noble humanitarian act, and a self-sacrifice for the sake of others? Here, an important piece of information must be added, and a question must be posed: Did the Bedouin of the peninsula ask the inhabitants of the conquered areas about their invasion of those areas?

The Bedouin of the Arabian Peninsula paid no heed to the questions of the peoples who suffered under their conquests and occupations, Therefore, such questions are absent from Arabic literature, with the exception of a recently published book by Hussam Itani, The voices of the vanquished peoples are completely absent from Arabic writing, as if these subjugated peoples did not exist, nor did they have any stance towards their conquerors, Anyone who examines Arabic literature would think that these peoples were dead, utterly devoid of feeling or influence, despite the fierce battles fought during the conquests and the killing of approximately one hundred thousand Companions (according to the sheikhs), who watered the conquered lands with their blood in the name of God,Then some claim that not a single individual from the subjugated peoples was killed, They try to convince us that these peoples, from China to the outskirts of Paris, welcomed the conquests, the jizya (tribute), the Pact of Umar, the Tuareg (a form of Islamic law), and the destruction of places of worship, which the Caliphate practiced from its very first caliphs, From Al-Mutawakkil to the Ottoman sultans to our esteemed sheikhs such as Ibn Baz, Al-Qaradawi, Hamdash, and others, why is a question raised that does not exist according to the opinion of the Bedouins? God is not questioned about His will, for His will is the justification for what He willed, God commanded them to do so, and God does not make mistakes, and this in itself is an answer to all questions.
