Syrian National Socialist observations on the state

M. Bitar, Ruba Mansour:

تعرّفوا على موريتانيا اليوم وقضاياها من خلال رسوم الكاريكاتير - رصيف22     Alongside secularism and the separation of religion from the state, Antoun Saadeh was a pioneer in defining nationalism and denying the relationship between nationalism and language, since language is not an essential component of nationalism, Groups that speak one language do not necessarily represent one nation, people, or society, The lack of use of one language does not negate the existence of a single state society, For example, Belgium and Switzerland are multilingual, as is Russia and many other countries, Some newspapers in Russia are printed in about 50 languages, It is self-evident that a person has a language, and it is not a requirement that all citizens speak the same language, A single nation tends to use one language, but one language does not lead to the emergence of nations, Likewise, it is not a requirement that everyone belongs to one religion, and political affiliation is not related to religious affiliation, Socio-political life is thousands of years older than religions!

Saadeh was concerned with the national issue and started from what he called the scientific principle in the national position, that is, stripping the national position of the considerations attached to it that are located outside the land, The land is the basis and life on the land is the basis and life on the land has no relation to races, that is, to race and racism, that is, there is no such thing as the best nation, and there is no scientific proof of the existence of the best nation, whether Arab, English, Aryan, etc, Saadeh was concerned with denying the existence of “independent creation,” since all living species, from plants and animals to humans, are closely connected to each other and develop in different ways, which negates independent creation, Humans are the ones who created God, assuming His existence, and God did not create humans.

His Excellency stressed the danger of religious thought and found nothing more dangerous than it and a rival to it except the doctrine of “lineage,” i.e., racism, The danger of lineage and the danger of religion goes back to the sacred, as both are sacred or similar to the sacred, The existence of the sacred means the existence of the profane, which turns the difference between the sacred and the profane into conflict, and consequently into wars, There are those who compete with the best nation of the son of Abdullah for the title of best nation, and do not accept this nation classifying itself as the best nation, Then the best nation allowed itself to describe other nations and peoples as “infidels.” Infidels are peoples and nations that were considered to be of a lower level than the nation of the son of Abdullah, Therefore, conflict was inevitable and the wars called holy were inevitable.

We learned the term “Al-olouj” from Saddam’s Minister of Information,   , in the context of the Iraq War, The minister was Mohammed Saeed Al-Sahhaf, who was not tried after the fall of Saddam’s regime, Rather, his Al-olouj employers placed him in a safe place, That is, he was originally an Al-Alouj and held high positions for long periods as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Information and Ambassador Extraordinary in several countrie, It is also said that at the request of Sheikh Zayed, a private plane transported Al-Sahhaf and his family to Abu Dhabi,He was not tried after the fall of Saddam and lived like a king until he died at the age of 74 in Abu Dhabi.

Anton Saadeh started from the premise that the natural sciences, in all their diversity, have proven that life is millions of years older than the religious conception and definition of it, Furthermore, there are no beings that are “created” from nothing or from a handful of dust, The different types of animals and plants are closely connected to each other in an evolution that led to the emergence of new types of these beings, That is, there is no independent “creation,” and Darwin provided a scientific explanation for this.

Religion and religious ideas were among the fiercest opponents of the concepts of evolution, The universal religion, by its very nature, was among the fiercest opponents of nationalist thought and of the state or homelands, defined by geographical and social boundaries rather than ethnic and racial ones, Racial lineage opens the door wide to racist practices, including the application of the “best nation” hypothesis, which represents an effective method for practicing collective civilizational suicide, By believing that they are the best nation, Muslims have confined themselves to international isolation, They have also lost the shame of begging, as what social institutions in Europe provide to help refugees represents, in the opinion of many Muslims, a kind of “tribute” imposed and justified by the logic of religious superiority,Are the believer equal to the disbeliever?!

As a result of all this, the Arabs lost the incentive to work and threw themselves into the arms of the illusion represented by hypotheses of the kind of delusions of the Jordanian Brotherhood member, Muhammad al-Qudat, who seated the nation of Ibn Abdullah on the platform of “guidance,” which does not need to work, because others work in factories and manufacture trains, planes and cars that the nation of Ibn Abdullah needs, Mr. al-Qudat declared that the best nation was not created for work but only for guidance, and with this division, i.e. the nation of guidance and the nations of work, the universe is populated according to his opinion.

The idea of the Arab nation had no origins outside the Arabian Peninsula, and language and religion do not represent any fixed foundations for building a state based on what is called Arab nationalism, Therefore, Arab nationalists failed to achieve any unity, and succeeded in entrenching divisions between state projects after the 1920s, Rather, the arbitrary, populist, hybrid unifications such as the Syrian-Egyptian union led to the complete burial of the idea of unity after the separation in 1961, That is, the role of religion and language in defining a group as one nation is weak and fragile, and the Syrian-Egyptian experience represented a kind of suicide of the idea of Arab unity, And is there anyone today who speaks of the unity of Arab states as Arab nationalist thought intended?

The region between the ocean and the Gulf was not one country, but rather a group of countries occupied by one occupier, The same applies to the British situation and its colonies, which do not represent one state or nation, because they do not have a single social and psychological personality and then a single history,The world between the ocean and the Gulf was not one country, one environment, and one society,Therefore, it did not have a single personality, one psychology, or one set of interests, Consequently, it could not have a single nationality, one set of demands, or one view of life, Therefore, calling the peoples of this region an Arab nation was a case of giving names contrary to their connotations and meanings.

Arabism was the embodiment of the dream of a limited Islamic religious state as an alternative to the absolute Islamic religious state dreamed of by those with flawed minds, who speak of the Islamic nation, which does not exist, just as there is no Christian, Jewish, or Buddhist nation, etc. The so-called Arab nation and the so-called Islamic nation represented nonsensical models characterized by discord and hostility between many countries, which should have dealt with each other cooperatively and peacefully for the benefit of humanity in general,These countries harmed themselves first and foremost, and calamities and disasters befell them, such as poverty and dependency, and most importantly, they failed to establish states in an era that knows nothing more than systems of civil states!
