   A past that wants to be respected must represent a process of mutual liberation with the present , A past that wants to remain partially necessary must get rid of the concept of “competition” with the present, The present does not reconcile with its competitors who want to replace it after eliminating it, In crowding and competition lies the “opposition” that produces rejection and aggression, All of this produces violence, which dominates the interaction of opposites, The peoples of this part of the East in one country are opposites.

 Mutual liberation between the past and the present means liberating the past from the standards of the present, such as recognizing what is called the historical context, and liberating the present from the past by giving the present its own historical context, i.e. the independence of both the past and the present, Reconciliation with the past means ending the state of clash with the past, by putting it on trial and issuing the appropriate judgment on it, then implementing the judgment so that the past becomes innocent, The present disavows the bad parts of the past, and thus denounces them and refrains from practicing them in the present, Then it ensures the continuity of peoples’ lives by practicing material and moral compensation for the bad from the criminal past,This is, in summary, what Germany did,It denounced the bad parts of the past, and refrained from practicing them in the present, and promised not to practice them in the future, Then it compensated for the damages that the past inflicted on itself and others, morally by way of an apology, which is more important than material compensation. The peoples of this region did not advance because they were unable to free themselves and liberate themselves from obstacles, and nomadism was and still is one of the most important obstacles.

Byzantium lived for about a thousand years after the fall of Rome at the hands of the Germanic tribes, and the destruction of Constantinople was at the hands of the tribes of Mehmed II, or as they say, the Conqueror, in praise, Mehmed II achieved what Ibn Abdullah wanted, and after him the Umayyad Caliphate, then the Abbasid Caliphate, and the existence of the Byzantine civilization was ended as usual at the hands of barbarism in 1453,In order not to stray from the subject, we must ask some of the peoples of this region about this process, We think that a good number will stand proud of the deed of Mehmed II in occupying Constantinople and ending the Byzantine presence, which Erdogan completed by converting the ayaSophia Church into a mosque, The general public of the peoples of this region did not suffer from the extermination of the Byzantines at the hands of Mehmed the Conqueror, nor did they denounce the occupation of Hagia Sophia by Erdogan, but they support the enthusiastic attack of the Al-Aqsa Flood, Here we find the worst form of reconciliation with the past and with oneself as well, How can these peoples stand in this era with the Conqueror? Mehmed II and Erdogan, at a time when peoples are suffering from “conquests” or occupations of their countries by others, the peoples seem to be lost and schizophrenic.

 Some may wonder when they hear the term “self-reconciliation.” Are humans and their selves in a wrestling ring that requires reconciliation? Yes, every human being needs to reconcile with themselves, This conflict is based on the human being’s disagreement with his conscience; that is, when a person’s “self” wants something, the body does the opposite, The peoples of the region suffer from colonialism and the occupation of their territories, and thus rightfully reject colonialism,However, at the same time, they glorify conquests, glorify the jizya, and glorify the Pact of Omar , They glorify the occupation of aya Sophia and denounce the harm inflicted on Al-Aqsa, They glorify Muslim Brotherhood fundamentalism, but they do not seek refuge in Afghanistan, but in the land of the Germans, This duality or schizophrenia can only be accompanied by an internal conflict, i.e., a conflict with the self. There is no hope of recovery from this disease for those who do not feel this conflict. Self-awareness is one of the most sublime forms of awareness, and from self-awareness stems awareness of the global environment, which represents the foundation upon which human civilization is built.
